This men’s Mont Blanc two register chronograph has a very classic and tasteful appearance. The case is 18kt, pink, with a Burgundy colored Crocodile strap, which complements the pink case beautifully and case serial number 909312. The dial is all original in satin white with pink markers and matching original pink hands. There are two registers for the chronograph functions. One which is located at the 9 o’clock position, is the constant second track, and the other, located at the 3 o’clock, is the 30 minute register. The manual wind movement is of a high grade Swiss manufacture containing 17 jewels and a lever style chronograph, manufactured by Landron, caliber 51.
The case is manufactured in 18kt pink gold. This style of case has been nicknamed an ‘onion skin’, meaning that the case is solid gold, however, it is extremely thin. For this reason, and the appearance of the watch, it would be best suited for dress purposes. It would not take a huge amount of pressure for the case to be dented or scratched. For some additional dust and moisture resistance, the back has a plated metal dust cover, like a secondary lid. This watch is not shock proof or water proof, again making it best suited for dress occasions. The total dimension of this watch is 35mm crown to outer edge at 9 o’clock. Overall, this watch looks very elegant and is fairly slim, considering all the functions it contains. It is an excellent conversational piece, as a vintage chronograph piece is quite recognizable and functional.
